Long
Boots & Bullets is a free top-down squad shooter that plays in your browser, a remake of Cannon Fodder from 1993. Six men, a mouse: left click moves them, right click fires, and one hit kills anyone, yours included, so every mission is a nervous walk with a name behind each death. Fifty missions across jungle, desert and the frozen north, with objectives that change what a mission is: kill every enemy, level every building, find the officer, recover the supplies, walk the hostages out, hold the outpost. There is an Armoury to spend War Bonds in between missions, 1v1 multiplayer over a websocket, and a challenge map called The Herd where three hundred of them come at you at once. It runs on desktop, needs no account and installs nothing.
